The experience

A trip with Talaria is an extraordinary experience—whether you join us on an open 1.5-hour tour or book a private safari or transfer for a group or business.

The invigorating nature of Northern Norway surrounds us wherever we travel. You can observe birdlife and wildlife, and perhaps a pod of porpoises will swim alongside us for a while. The area is simply a paradise for exhilarating outdoor experiences.

focus on safety

Talaria is a 42-foot Goldfish X12 with three 450 hp engines and a top speed of 80 knots—a safe and reliable boat in its own right. Nevertheless, the operator sets especially high standards for the RIB crew’s qualifications and training. On board you’ll therefore meet only experienced skippers who meet all licensing and safety requirements.

Talaria is equipped with state-of-the-art navigation and safety equipment and naturally holds all approvals and certifications for passenger transport. A RIB tour with us is intended to be a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

full speed & silence

With Talaria, you get to have it both ways—from full-throttle action to complete silence. We move quickly from place to place, then ease off or come to a complete stop to enjoy the spectacular surroundings. It doesn’t matter whether you turn to port or starboard—the view is magnificent. That’s your chance to capture some great photo memories before the skipper offers more high-speed thrills as he sets the course onward.

On a trip with Talaria, you get the best of both worlds.

Facilities

Ten shock-mitigating seats await our guests. Four of the guest seats are located in the heated cockpit. When the weather allows, we can open the cockpit fully or partially, letting anyone who wishes enjoy a generous dose of clean, fresh Arctic air.

The boat offers ample space for luggage and any other gear you’d like to bring. We can also offer a powerful sound system if you feel like cranking up the atmosphere a few notches. ;)

Thermal suits, warm boots, and personal safety equipment are provided on loan as part of our comfort and safety package.

Food and drink

On shorter trips, food and beverage service is not normally provided. For private groups and businesses that book the boat for a shorter trip, we can of course arrange food and drinks by agreement.

For longer outings—such as safaris or transfer runs for private groups or businesses—we’ll agree in advance on the simple catering and beverages you’d like. Tasty baguettes and sandwiches with various fillings, for example, are well suited to serving on a RIB.

Just ask, and we’ll find the catering that suits you.

Clothing

Tromsø sits near the Arctic ice edge. It’s cold here, but it’s even colder at sea, where you’re also more exposed to the wind. On our RIB tours, we provide warm safety suits, boots, and more. Still, you may find it useful to check our tips for dressing for the North.
