Season: 1. November 2025 – 31. January 2026

Welcome to the fast track to whale watching! Talaria – our 42 foot exclusive Goldfish X12 with 1350 HP, a maximum speed of 80 knots and a heated cabin – brings you to the whales in the most efficient way.

To ensure the best possible experience, we recommend bringing personal clothing and gear that will keep you warm and comfortable throughout the trip. While we provide thermal suits, it’s important to wear good, warm base layers underneath.
Also remember to bring a hat, scarf, and mittens or gloves – small details that make a big difference in Northern Norwegian weather.

The trip may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions make it unsafe to proceed. Your safety is our top priority, and we always follow professional safety assessments.
There is a minimum age requirement of 7 years, and the trip is not recommended for pregnant individuals or those with back, neck, pelvic, or other health issues.

The Experience

A trip with Talaria is an extraordinary experience. Whether you join us on an open 1.5-hour tour or book a private safari or transport leg for a group or company.

We are surrounded by stunning northern Norwegian nature no matter where we go. Bird and wildlife can be observed, and perhaps a pod of porpoises will swim alongside us for a while. The area is simply a paradise for adventurous nature experiences.

Focus on safety

Talaria is a 42-foot Goldfish X12 with 3 x 450 HP engines and a top speed of 80 knots. A safe and secure vessel in itself. Nevertheless, the company places exceptionally high demands on the RIB crew’s qualifications and training. On board, you will therefore only meet experienced pilots who meet all boating and safety requirements.

Talaria is equipped with state-of-the-art navigation and safety equipment and, of course, holds all approvals and certifications for passenger transport. A RIB trip with us is meant to be a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Full speed ahead and silence

With Talaria, you truly get the best of both worlds — from full-throttle action to complete tranquility. We move swiftly from place to place, then slow down or come to a full stop to take in the spectacular surroundings. It doesn’t matter whether you turn to port or starboard — the view is stunning either way. That’s the perfect time to capture some unforgettable photo moments, before the skipper picks up speed again and heads off for more high-adrenaline experiences.

On a trip with Talaria, you get the best of both worlds.

Facilities

Ten well-cushioned seats await our guests. Four of the guest seats are located in the heated cockpit. When the weather allows, we can open the cockpit fully or partially. That way, anyone who wants can enjoy a refreshing dose of pure Arctic air.

The boat has ample space for luggage and any equipment you wish to bring along. We can also fire up a powerful sound system if you’re in the mood to crank up the atmosphere. 😉

Thermal suits, warm boots, and personal safety equipment are provided as part of our comfort and safety package.

Food and drink

On shorter trips, food and drink are normally not served. However, for private groups and companies booking the boat for a shorter tour, we are of course happy to provide food and beverages upon request.

For longer trips, such as safaris or transport assignments for private groups or businesses, we’ll arrange simple catering and drinks based on your preferences. Tasty baguettes and sandwiches with a variety of fillings, for example, are well-suited for serving on a RIB tour.

Just ask us — we’ll find the catering solution that works best for you.

Clothing

Tromsø is located right on the edge of the Arctic. It’s cold here — and even colder out at sea, where you’re also more exposed to the wind. On our RIB tours, we provide warm safety suits, boots, and more. Still, it’s a good idea to take a look at our tips for how to dress in the North.
